Here’s a super-easy dog treat recipe that doesn’t require any baking and only 4 ingredients that you most likely have around the kitchen. As always, you should consult your vet before feeding your dog new ingredients because all dogs are different. These mouth-watering treats take minutes to make and are a simple but delicious treat.
PB Oat Dog Treats with Cinnamon– YUMM!
No Bake Peanut Butter Oat Dog Treats
¾ cup peanut butter
1 ¼ cup oats
¼ teaspoon cinnamon
¼ cup water
>>Mix peanut butter, cinnamon and water together vigorously until ingredients are combined. Add extra water if necessary (mixture should be thick).
>>Slowly stir in the oats, 1/4 cup at a time, mashing them into the mixture.
Add oats slowly while stirring– 1/4 cup at a time
>>Scoop out the balls using a fruit scooper or your hands to form 1 inch round treats.
>>Place on cookie sheet lined with parchment paper and refrigerate for 1-3 hours.
Simple but irresistible– your dogs will shower you with peanut butter kisses 🙂
Refrigerate for 1-3 hours before serving to your pups!
>>Store in refrigerator in closed plastic container. Stays good for 2 weeks or up to 2 months in the freezer.
*Medicine Tip*
You can also use this PB mixture to feed your dogs medicine. Though you can’t insert pills and refrigerate ahead of time (the pills could dilute), you can keep the mixture in a refrigerated plastic bag. When it’s time to give the pill, stuff it into a smaller ball using the mixture. Dogs will gobble their meds right up!

Hello I’m new to this site and I’ve been trying to get my dog on grain free she chews her paws all the time. I like this recipe but is oats not a grain? Anything you can tell me plz, I need all the help I can get! lol Thank you!!
Oats are whole grains but contain very little- almost no gluten (gluten allergies are the cause of many dogs’ skin allergies). If you prefer to use no grains at all, try using chickpea flour or garbanzo bean flour– both are great substitutes and don’t have wheat or grains. You can even buy chickpeas and garbanzo beans and grind them up yourself to make flour. Hope this helps!!

Ohhh Thank you so much for this! My rescue dog (still deciding who rescued whom!) has terrible food allergies which I suspect is why his previous owners gave him up. The vet has told us he should not be fed chicken, eggs, beef, dairy, and flour. Although I’ve never fed him those things, he still itches all the time, so I’ve removed all grains from his diet. Trying to find recipes for homemade doggy treats without any of the above has been fruitless until now. I’ll be making these tomorrow! Thank you!!
recipe looks yummy but I have only one concern with this recipe. the sodium content. I heard sodium is really bad for dogs so do you usea special peanut butter for these treats? (ex like all natural sodium free) and would the recipe work if I substitute a lower sodium treat. thanks

Hello- Yes, any peanut butter will work but you are completely right that too much sodium is bad for dogs. I recommend an organic or sodium free peanut butter.
