Wheat-Free Apple Cinnamon Clusters

We love treats!

Need a tasty gift for your pup this season? How about making them some irresistible homemade treats! Your pups will love them and they are much healthier than store-bought treats. Though making homemade treats requires a little extra effort, this is the perfect time of year!  They are great for dogs on grain-free diets or dogs with allergies. Enjoy this recipe of Apple Cinnamon Clusters!

2 cups oat flour
1 cup rice flour
2 organic eggs
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 cup organic applesauce
1 ½ teaspoons cinnamon
1 tablespoon flax seed oil (optional, great for skin)

>>Preheat oven to 375 F.

>>Mix all ingredients, adding water or flour if necessary. Use a food processor for extra ease.

>>Spoon onto cookie sheet in small treats. The smaller the treat, the shorter time it will take to bake.

>>Bake 15-25 minutes or until lightly browned. Will stay good for up to 2-3 weeks, or longer if stored in the freezer.

If your dog is on a grain-free diet, here are some tips on Wheat-Flour Substitutes for Homemade Dog Diets.

  8. woof! woof! we like those..are they good for cats too

  9. Awesome, I’ll check it out! I love making homemade stuff sometimes for a special treat. Misswhiplash, I think cinnamon is toxic to cats. Applesauce is ok for cats only if homemade or organic and only in small amounts. I would not suggest these for the kitties. Meanwhile, all our pups seem to approve 🙂
